First tests with the D60 |
|
First impressions of the camera : coming from the D30 , the use of the camera is almost identical ( some added features ) . The pictures seem to be equally smooth and not having print any file yet , I can't give my impressions about the bonus of the added pixels . Shutter lag ( if any ) seems to be less than with the D30 but this could be subjective as is the impression of a better AF in low light conditions . I will need more testing in different conditions to make up my mind . The best improvement, as far as I'm concerned , is the larger buffer . It's incredibly useful not to have to wait the camera writes the files to the CF . Also , the files are huge , very huge . With Tiff files at 37Mb and RAW files at 7Mb , well , that's going to need a lot of CD's ! Or I will need to buy a DVD writer ... Getting +/-15 RAW files on a 128MbCFcard means I'll upgrade to larger capacity cards or use a notebook to store my images This are my impressions so far . Raw files converted with YARC+ and Colin's Linear Conveter . |
