Here's
my workflow to upsize my D30 RAW files to A3+ using Fred Miranda's D30 LinearBATCH_pro 16-bit v1.2
and
Pekka Saarinen's LinearSharpen 3.42 .
The
RAW files were converted to TIFF Linear 16bits with Yarc+ .
Settings
for the LS file were Chooser 100-200 Normal Sharpening HQ and AfterShave
1 .
Settings
for LP were Normal Saturation , Normal Sharpening in RGB output .
All
files had Auto Contrast and the Curves were adjusted the exactly same
way .
The
files were upsampled with Stair Interpolation ,
PhotoShop ,
Stephen's My Interpolation for D30 and
Michael Thomas Mitchel Print
Action at 300 dpi .
As
obtained files were ( except the PS upsizing which was exactly 13x19
inches ) bigger ( Stephen's : 16x24 inches )
or smaller ( M.T.Mitchell :
11x16.5 inches ) ,
They
were upsized or downsized with PS to be set to the same dimensions .
After
conversion to 8bits , they were sharpened with J.J. Mack's Sharpen
action .
The
cropped ( 100% ) part of the pictures was transformed to JPEG at 50% for
publishing .
PS
processed fastest while Michael T.Mitchell's action was by far the
slowest , probably due to the many steps it makes to enlarge gradually .
PC
: Pentium IV 1,5Ghz , 512MbRAM , old G-Force , WinME Printer
: Epson Stylus PHOTO 1290 ( 1280 outside Europe ) . Used
profile : EE139_1 Resolution
: 1440dpi Adjustments
between printer and monitor achieved to get the same results : WYSIWYG Paper
